Vermont ANG to hold deployment ceremonies

CAMP JOHNSON, Vermont — The 158th Fighter Wing will hold three deployment ceremonies Nov. 8 to honor Airmen scheduled to deploy throughout the fall and winter of 2020 as well as their families.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new Army Mountain Warfare School at the Camp Ethan Allen Training Site in Jericho, Vermont, is scheduled for Nov. 5, 2020. This rendition depicts the design of the $27 million facility, scheduled to be complete in April 2022.

JERICHO, Vermont — Four Vermont Army National Guard Soldiers will depart next week to represent the U.S. at the Biathlon Pre-World Cup in Austria Nov. 1.

The Vermont Air National Guard is scheduled to conduct night flying operations from Oct. 27-30, with takeoffs occurring between 5-7 p.m. and landings occurring around 8-10 p.m.

Vermont Air National Guard — Across the span of three days in July, the Vermont Air National Guard partnered with the Barnes Center for Enlisted Education at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base, Ala., to host the first-ever, entirely virtual engagement with any African Military Education Program school in Africa: a course on professional military education (PME) and continuing education for Senegalese Air Force instructors.
