Camp Ethan Allen Training Site resumes training

JERICHO, Vermont — The Camp Ethan Allen Training Site in Jericho will resume full operations after an extended suspension caused by construction updates and the COVID-19 pandemic. Residents near CEATS may notice firing operations during afternoons and evenings starting May 31 and continuing through August.

The Vermont National Guard and Senegalese Armed Forces engineers are renovating the firing range through their State Partnership Program relationship.

Meet Your Guard: Sgt. James Hance

MOUNT ROLLAND TRAINING SITE, Senegal — This edition of Meet Your Guard focuses on Sgt. James Hance, a 12B combat engineer with Bravo Company, 572nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Mountain), who is also a native of Burlington, Vt., currently living in Northfield. Hance worked with the Senegalese Army to build and repair a firing range in Senegal.

The Vermont National Guard and Senegalese Armed Forces engineers are renovating the firing range through their State Partnership Program relationship.

Loren Gosselin, a 12A engineer officer, with Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 572nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (MountaIn), who is also a native of St. Albans, Vt., and currently living in Jamesville, N.Y. Gosselin worked with the Senegalese Army to build and repair a firing range in Senegal.
