2017 Chief of National Guard Bureau Biathlon Championship
CAMP ETHAN ALLEN TRAINING SITE, Vt. — The 2017 Chief, National Guard Bureau Biathlon Championship was held at the Camp Ethan Allen Training Site in Jericho, Vermont, from March 3 to March 10. The competition included 120 National Guardsmen from 23 different states. Competitors ranging from novice to experienced professionals participated in the week-long championship.

Low-density MOS Training
Approximately 100 medics from the guard were present for the training weekend. This training was especially important because medics are required to renew their Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification every two years, among other certifications.

Automatic Chest Compression Device Customer Demonstration
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. — “We are doing a proof of concept demonstration today with the Vermont Guard and we’re going to be looking at form, fit, function and usability inside the aircraft,” said Army Lt. Col. Joseph A. Dominguez III, chief of the material test and evaluation branch of the U.S. Army Medical Department Board. “This is purely a proof of concept and is not a test. We are going to see what they think about is as far as space accommodations.”

The Adjutant General's Combat Marksmanship Competition
CAMP ETHAN ALLEN TRAINING SITE, Vt. — Over 300 Vermont Guardsmen participate in the Adjutant General’s Combat Marksmanship Competition held on Sept. 10 and 11 at Camp Ethan Allen Training Site, Jericho, Vt. There are four areas of competition: combat rifle, pistol, machine gun, and sniper. These competitions test guardsmen on how fast they can react to pop-up targets, memorize items, adjust weapons systems under stressful situations, and fire their designated weapon, which are all basic marksmanship skills.
10th Annual Vermont Remembers Run

Joint operation Center Displacement training, Vigilant Guard 2016
CAMP JOHNSON, Vt. — U.S. Soldiers and Airmen with the Vermont National Guard moved their Joint Operations Center (JOC) for a training exercise simulating a state emergency during Vigilant Guard 2016, from Camp Johnson, Colchester, Vt., to the Army Aviation Flight Facility, South Burlington, Vt., Aug. 1. Training is imperative to ensure readiness that in the case of a real state emergency.
