Wellness, Readiness and Prevention (WRAP) Info

The Vermont National Guard formed the Wellness, Readiness, and Prevention (WRAP, J-9) directorate in 2022 to consolidate all “helping” programs and resources into a single, one-stop shop where Service members, Veterans and their Families can identify and access wrap-around resources and support.

Mission: The WRAP directorate of integrated programs empowers members and families to reach their full potential within a culture supportive of growth, resilience, and adaptability.

Vision: The Vermont National Guard organization, families, and communities will flourish through a sense of wellness, belonging, and connectedness.

VTNG WRAP officially includes: Family Programs (and all associated programs), Suicide Prevention, Military Resiliency, Chaplaincy, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, Substance Use Prevention and Drug Testing, and the Integrated Primary Prevention Program; and the directorate works very closely with behavioral health and equal opportunity programs.
