Vermont National Guard Public Affairs

The Vermont National Guard's 15th Civil Support Team is scheduled to conduct exercises as part of an evaluation near the Enosburg Falls Armory Sept. 23.

The exercises are part of an evaluation overseen by U.S. Army North, and no emergency is taking place.

The evaluation is scheduled to start in the morning and will occur throughout most of the day. The exercise will consist of building monitoring, scanning for chemical, biological, and nuclear elements, building and room searches and react to chemical lab. The unit will identify hazards, assist, assess, and/or advise incident commanders of any or all hazard events with a specific emphasis on chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear hazards.

The Vermont National Guard’s 15th Civil Support Team is a uniquely skilled team that is prepared to support local civilian authorities by identifying, assisting and advising an Incident Commander in response to actual or potential use of weapons of mass destruction and all hazards.
