The Adjutant General's Matches 2024

The Vermont Army National Guard is excited to announce the 2024 TAG Match at Ethan Allen Firing Range in Jericho.

This event is held annually to promote marksmanship training and competition between the individuals, units and branches within the Vermont National Guard. This program offers all competitors an opportunity to test marksmanship skills and weapon systems in a battle focused competition, while building esprit de corps. The match affords opportunities for building individual skills and an exchange of ideas between our fellow armed services. The Army Excellence-In-Competition matches are conducted IAW Army regulations and the United States Army Marksmanship Training Unit at Fort Moore, GA.

This event is not open to the public, and there is registration required for Soldiers and Airmen to attend.

Entries
Entries are completed by individuals. Competitors wishing to participate should complete the enrollment form online. Individuals may enter only one discipline (rifle, pistol, machine gun). Enrollment forms are accepted on a “first come, first served” basis. Confirmed enrollments should be received no later than 2 August 2024. This event has a cap of 140 pistol shooters, 120 rifle shooters and 30 machine gun shooters. “Walk-ons” are permitted by regulation for EIC matches. Competitors may fire in any discipline regardless of rank.
Reporting & Registration
Registration and packet pick-up will take place at Match Headquarters. All individual registrations must be completed online NLT 2 August 2024. Walk-ons and substitutions will occur at Match Headquarters on a select case-by-case basis. All team declarations must be made on the respective ranges. Team Captains may register and declare their entire team. Competitors must report with ALL REQUIRED PERSONAL EQUIPMENT as posted in Annex A, Appendix 3. All vehicles must be parked in the designated parking areas on each range. Carpooling is encouraged.
Billeting & Dining
Billeting is available at no charge to the competitors. Billeting building will be posted at Match Headquarters and announced when securing your packet. We will make every attempt at maintaining unit integrity when assigning billets. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN LINEN AND TOILETRIES. Competitors will be responsible for the maintenance of assigned billets.

Only Saturday noon meal and Sunday noon meal will be available and provided. Breakfast and dinner will not be available during this event. Competitors may bring any meal or snack item for consumption on the ranges. There will be no formal lunch break during the match. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE RANGES AT ANY TIME.
