Vermont National Guard Public Affairs

The Vermont National Guard's Garrison Support Command will hold a change-of-command ceremony June 6 at 2 p.m. to officially welcome the unit's new commander.

Col. Justin Davis will succeed Col. Eric Gagnon, with Brig. Gen. Richard Lebel, the Vermont National Guard Land Component commander, serving as presiding official.

The change of command ceremony is a traditional event in which the outgoing commander passes the unit colors to the incoming commander.

GSC is one of three commands in the Vermont Army National Guard with a colonel as the commanding officer. Subordinate units include the 86th Troop Command, Medical Detachment, Training Site Detachment, and the 15th Civil Support Team.
