124th RTI change of command

Vermont National Guard Public Affairs

JERICHO, Vermont  –  

The Vermont Army National Guard will host a virtual change of command ceremony for the 124th Regiment (Regional Training Institute) at 10 a.m. March 6.

The ceremony will be held in the foyer of Green Mountain Armory, Camp Johnson, Colchester, VT. Col. Tracey Poirier, commander, 124th Regiment, will relinquish command to Col. William Wagner.

“The Vermont Army National Guard has a bright future,” said Brig. Gen. James Pabis, assistant adjutant general - Army. “Colonel Poirier will continue to provide outstanding experience and leadership in her new role as the Chief of Staff; and I have full confidence that Col. Wagner will continue to build on the success of Colonel Poirier’s time in command.”

The Regional Training Institute is home to the Army Mountain Warfare School, Information Operations Battalion, Officer Candidate School, and the Basic Leaders Course.
