Vermont ANG to host deployment ceremonies

158th Fighter Wing Public Affairs

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vermont  –

More than 70 Airmen from the 158th Fighter Wing, Vermont Air National Guard Base, are deploying at various times through the fall and winter of 2020 for up to six months in support of U.S. Central Command, U.S. Africa Command and U.S. European Command.

On Nov. 8, the 158th Fighter Wing will host three deployment ceremonies to honor these Airmen and their families, as these remaining Airmen prepare to depart for their upcoming duty stations. Due to COVID-19, each ceremony is limited in capacity.

The final rotation of Airmen in this deployment cycle will return back to the Vermont Air National Guard base by the summer of 2021.

The Media is invited to attend this event to capture the ceremony. Leadership and deploying Airmen from the 158th Fighter Wing will be available for interviews afterwards.

Media are asked to RSVP with desired time no later than Nov. 4 to receive base access. Due to the ongoing pandemic and capacity limitations, desired ceremony timeframes are filled at a first-come, first-served basis for media attendees.
