CAMP JOHNSON, Vermont –
Nine Soldiers from the Vermont Army National Guard are deploying to Fort Meade, Maryland for a year-long deployment in support of U.S. Army Cyber Command.
“Their primary focus is software support,” said Col. Eric Gagnon, commander, Garrison Support Command. “This is an exciting opportunity for the team members and Vermont as a whole. The Cyber branch provides excellent opportunities in and out of the Vermont National Guard.”
The deployment is part of Task Force Echo III. The task force consists of 12 states working under the 126th Cyber Battalion based out of Massachusetts.
