Training to continue on June 18

CAMP JOHNSON, Vermont  –  

Due to the short notice of the new federal holiday, Juneteenth National Independence Day, the Vermont National Guard will continue with certain previously scheduled mission essential training on Friday, June 18.

Training at Camp Ethan Allen Training Site, Jericho, Vt., will include indirect fire from M777A2 howitzers firing 155mm rounds and will continue as planned from June 18th through the 20th, which may last until about 8:00 p.m. each evening, weather dependent.

The Vermont Air National Guard will conduct scheduled flying operations on Friday, June 18 and will observe the federal holiday next week.

Airmen of the 158th Fighter Wing are required to conduct flying operations to meet U.S. Air Force and Major Command requirements and proficiencies.
