POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony at Camp Johnson

CAMP JOHNSON, Vermont  –  

The Vermont National Guard and Vermont State Guard are scheduled to hold a POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday in the Green Mountain Armory, Camp Johnson, Colchester, Vermont.

The event will include Vermont Gov. Phil Scott, Adjutant General Brig. Gen. Gregory Knight, and other guest speakers, a wreath laying, and recognition of attending ex-prisoners of war.

The Vermont National Guard observes National POW/MIA Recognition Day on the third Friday of September along with other military organizations throughout the United States. Vermont Ex-POWs attend the event at Camp Johnson and this event allows us to honor their sacrifices.
