Signal soldiers will support the command and control of the Vermont Army National Guard. Signal support includes network operations (information assurance, information dissemination management, and network management) and management of the electromagnetic spectrum. One of the most competitive fields in the civilian market, what you learn in the military can give you an advantage over peers.
Job training for a Signal Soldiers requires 10 weeks and 2 days of Basic Combat Training and 10 to 25 weeks and of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction. Training is conducted at Fort Gordon, GA by the 369th Signal Battalion. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and in the field.
