Vermont National Guard, Colchester, Vt. - The Chapel of the Snow at the McMurdo Station where Maj. Esther Lee, a chaplain assigned to the 158th Fighter Wing, Vermont Air National Guard, worked and lived for two months, supporting the National Science Foundations efforts, Antarctica, January 12, 2020. Lee supported Operation Deep Freeze, a six-month deployment of the 109th Airlift Wing, New York Air National Guard, which has the sole responsibility of the airlift effort that supports the station.
