The Ethan Allen Firing Range, located in Jericho, Vermont, is a training facility, home to the Army Mountain Warfare School, the headquarters of the 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Mountain), as well as the headquarters and Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion 172nd Infantry (Mountain). The Vermont National Guard also manages the National Guard Biathlon Team on a world-class training area.

The Vermont Army National Guard will conduct training at Ethan Allen Air Force Base in South Burlington in August:
Aug. 1-5: Light demolitions and pyrotechnical devices, no later than 5 p.m.
Aug. 1-31: Rotary wing aircraft, no later than 11 p.m.
Small Arms: Handheld weapons (M-4 and M-16 rifles, pistols)
Crew-Served Weapons: Vehicle- or fixed-mount weapons (e.g., M-2 .50 caliber machine gun)
Indirect Fire: Mortars or artillery
Tours are scheduled around other training and will be held every 4-6 weeks.
Attendees should meet up at the Joint Readiness Center between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m. the day of the tour. Photo ID is required. Please park in the parking lot adjacent to the Joint Readiness Center, first left after entering EAFR.
NOTE: The tour is mostly outside, so please be aware of the weather and bring water, wear sunscreen, proper footwear and proper clothing for the forecast. Food is not provided, so please bring snacks as appropriate, especially for children or those with medical considerations.
